More than 15,000 companies and millions of employees use Wellhub to improve their wellbeing

New York, NY, April 4th _ Gympass, a leading corporate wellness platform, today announced that it is rebranding and changing its name to Wellhub, reflecting its evolution into a comprehensive employee wellbeing solution. Wellhub now goes beyond just gym memberships to offer a completely new app experience and an expanded network of wellbeing partners across fitness, mindfulness, therapy, nutrition, and sleep. This strategic shift positions Wellhub as a trusted partner for companies looking to improve employee wellbeing, boost engagement, and drive business performance.

“Our new name and brand reflect our commitment to providing a holistic wellbeing solution, going beyond physical fitness to encompass mental health, nutrition, sleep, and more," says Cesar Carvalho, co-founder and CEO of Wellhub. "This shift ensures we meet the comprehensive needs of today's workforce, empowering companies to create a culture where employees can check in with their wellbeing every day. By offering a single platform for all-in-one wellness, Wellhub drives employee engagement, increases productivity, and delivers the tangible ROI businesses seek."

“Wellbeing is a business imperative, and organizations need to continuously look for ways to meet their people’s unique and evolving needs,” said Frank Giampietro, EY Americas Chief Wellbeing Officer. “It’s when organizations support their people’s holistic wellbeing that they are able to succeed and thrive over the long term.”

"As we navigate the ever-evolving landscape of workplace wellness, it's imperative that we prioritize the holistic health and wellbeing of our employees. The transformation of Gympass into Wellhub is so much more than a rebrand – it’s a testament to our dedication to supporting the diverse needs of today's workforce,” says Lynne Oldham, Chief People Officer, Stash and Board Member, Wellhub. “By investing in the health and happiness of employees, we not only create more productive and engaged workplaces but also generate tangible returns for companies in the form of higher employee retention and reduced healthcare costs."

A staggering 93% of employees value their wellbeing as much as their salary. Despite this acknowledgement, the prevalence of employee stress has reached unprecedented levels, posing significant challenges for organizations. This paradigm shift underscores the need for prioritizing employee wellbeing, as it has profound implications for employee recruitment, engagement and retention strategies, all of which impact overall company performance. This begs the question: why are companies and employees struggling with wellbeing?

  • Too Complex: With so many wellbeing options available, companies are unsure of where to prioritize investments and end up offering benefits that don’t meet the diverse needs of their employees.
  • Too Expensive: Most people can’t afford individualized solutions for fitness, mindfulness, therapy, nutrition and sleep or other services – especially at the same time.
  • Too Time-ConsumingAlmost 90% of people want to live healthier lives – they just don’t know how, which negatively impacts motivation. They’re being flooded with too much information – and it’s harder than ever to know what works and what doesn’t.

Wellhub empowers companies to meet their employees wherever they are on their wellness journey, with personalized guidance, coaching, and social gamification. This holistic approach, addressing physical, mental, and social well-being, is linked to the highest returns on investment, as healthy and engaged employees are more productive and less likely to leave. With Wellhub, businesses of all sizes can launch wellbeing programs that employees will use and love. In tandem with its rebrand, today Wellhub is unveiling new product updates for HR leaders, benefits administrators, employee subscribers and its wellbeing network partners. Here's what's new:
