Gympass is Now Wellhub: Let’s Make Every Company a Wellness Company

Dear Wellhub Community, 

Today I am thrilled to share a pivotal moment in our journey, representing a profound evolution to our brand and direction. Gympass has now become Wellhub – a name that lives up to our bold vision where every employee at every company checks in with their wellbeing every day.

Eleven years ago, Gympass emerged from a personal struggle — a quest to maintain a healthy routine while navigating the challenges of a demanding work life. What began as a D2C fitness solution has become a mission to make every company a wellness company. Today, as we announce our rebrand to Wellhub, I find myself reflecting on the incredible journey that brought us here.

Our platform initially focused on physical fitness, but soon evolved into a comprehensive corporate wellbeing solution by connecting millions of employees to a diverse network of partners for physical, emotional, and nutritional wellbeing.

Employee wellbeing has become non-negotiable for today’s global workforce in the decade since our founding. 93% of global employees now say their wellbeing is as important as their salary, up 10% from 2022. As demand for employee wellbeing has grown, so has ours usage. We recently reached the remarkable milestone of surpassing 400 million check-ins.

This is a testament to our ability to get more employees enrolled and engaged with their wellbeing to change behaviors for the better.

The global pandemic tested our adaptability. Faced with unforeseen challenges, we emerged as an accessible bridge to holistic wellbeing, offering virtual coaching, in-app live-streaming classes, and a variety of top-rated apps for mental wellbeing. 

In the years since the pandemic, our network has grown by over 50% to offer 50,000+ wellbeing options like Orangetheory. CorePower Yoga, MyFitnessPal, Headspace, and SleepCycle. In doing so, we grew from a “gym pass” into the all-in-one corporate wellness platform that offers the best partners for fitness, mindfulness, therapy, nutrition, and sleep.

As our wellbeing solution continued to evolve, it became clear that it was time for our company’s brand to evolve too. That’s how our journey led us to Wellhub. The name itself is more than a rebrand; it's a practical and powerful evolution into the solution connecting companies and employees to the best fitness and wellness partners in one subscription designed to cost less than each individual partner.
